Carson
City was indirectly named after Kit Carson, the famous frontiersman. It
actually took its title from the Carson River, which was named by John
C. Fremont for his scout Kit Carson in 1844. |

The
Project |
The
project is located at the Federal Building-705 North Plaza Street, Carson
City, Nevada. The former postal service annex will be converted into the
new electronically equipped office complex for the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
The agency has the mission to interact with the 11 Indian tribes located
in the State of Nevada. |
